Bolnisi, Georgia – May 31, 2025 – Jobava Winery is proud to announce its success at the third annual Bolnisi PDO Wine Festival held in the historic German district of Bolnisi. As part of the festival’s official wine competition, Jobava Winery’s wines were awarded two medals: a Gold Medal for its Mukuzani and a Bronze Medal for its Kindzmarauli.

The Bolnisi PDO Wine Festival is the first of its kind in Georgia, celebrating wines produced under protected geographical indications. This year’s event welcomed over 60 wineries from across the country, including large producers, family-run cellars, and small to medium-sized wineries — all united by a shared commitment to authenticity and terroir.

Held on May 31st, the festival offered visitors a vibrant cultural experience with live music, diverse culinary stands, children’s entertainment, and numerous interactive activities. The wine competition featured a distinguished jury that awarded wines across several categories: Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

The Bolnisi festival also attracted international guests, including wine buyers from Italy, European wine experts, bloggers, and professionals from the tourism sector — further reinforcing the region’s rising profile on the global wine map.

The event was organized by RMG and supported by the Wine Bolnisi Association, Bolnisi Municipality, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the National Wine Agency, Sakpatenti, and the Bolnisi Agrocenter.
