About Us

Welcome to Jobava Winery!

Established in 2013, Jobava Winery, run by the family and forced to relocate from the Georgia’s region of Abkhazia following the conflict in the 90s, is not just a mere winemaking facility but a bridge honoring the traditional Georgian heritage of winemaking. Georgia holds a pedigree of winemaking, and we strive to uphold its esteemed traditions while crafting exceptional wines.

From 2013 to 2022, our focus primarily centered on viticulture, where we meticulously cultivated and safeguarded endemic Georgian grape varieties such as Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane. These formative years laid the foundation for our future endeavors.

Since 2022, Jobava Winery has expanded its scope to encompass both viticulture and winemaking. We took a significant leap forward by inaugurating a cutting-edge wine facility equipped with state-of-the-art European technologies, alongside the indispensable Georgian Qvevris. These traditional Qvevris, large earthenware vessels lined with beeswax, play a pivotal role in our winemaking process, contributing to the distinctive flavors and character of our wines. Additionally, we proudly introduced a traditional Kakhetian Chacha distillery, featuring premium traditional hand-crafted machinery, thus broadening our offerings and diversifying our portfolio.

Looking ahead, Jobava Winery is thrilled to unveil our plans for expansion into the production of cognac. With the acquisition of essential materials and expertise, we are poised to venture into this prestigious realm of spirits, in alignment with our steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Georgia, specifically in the picturesque valley of Shilda within the Kvareli Municipality of the Kakheti Region, our vineyards thrive in the unique Kindzmarauli microzone. This distinctive microclimate and terroir impart a character to our wines that reflects the essence of our surroundings and the meticulous care devoted to each vine.

At Jobava Winery, we take pride in our diverse portfolio comprising 15 premium wines, each meticulously crafted using classical, traditional Georgian (Qvevri), and Kakhetian winemaking techniques. Our range includes a variety of esteemed varietals such as Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Mtsvane-Rkatsiteli, Kisi-Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Mukuzani, Alazani Valley White, Alazani Valley Red, and Kindzmarauli.

For aficionados of traditional Georgian winemaking, we offer wines aged in Qvevris, including Rkatsiteli Qvevri, Kisi Qvevri, and Saperavi Qvevri. Additionally, our Barrel collection showcases Kakhetian Rkatsiteli and Saperavi aged to perfection.

Join us at Jobava Winery to savor the fusion of tradition, innovation, and passion encapsulated in every bottle of our exquisite wines.
