Georgian winery heads to Spain to introduce its wines and Georgia’s winemaking culture to an international community of wine professionals, importers and opinion leaders

TBILISI, Georgia — Jobava Winery will participate in VinoInfluencers World Awards 2026 in Spain from September 17–19 as an official sponsor of the international wine event.

Bringing together participants from more than 30 countries, VinoInfluencers World Awards connects winemakers, wine professionals, importers, wine tourism specialists, international brands, content creators and influential voices from across the global wine community.

The programme will feature wine tastings, food and wine pairing experiences, professional networking, and opportunities for participating countries and producers to share their distinct wine cultures with an international audience.

For Jobava Winery, the partnership represents more than an opportunity to showcase individual wines. It offers a platform to introduce audiences to Georgia’s wider winemaking heritage and its evolving contemporary wine industry.

Georgia is widely recognised as one of the world’s oldest wine-producing cultures, and Jobava Winery sees international industry events as an important part of bringing that heritage into new markets and conversations.

“International events like VinoInfluencers allow us to tell a much broader story. We are presenting our wines, but we are also introducing people to the culture, history and identity behind Georgian winemaking. Building these connections with professionals, importers and new audiences is an important part of our international development,” says Tako Jobava, Director of Jobava Winery.

The event will also create opportunities for the winery to engage directly with importers, wine tourism representatives and industry professionals while presenting Georgian wine to key communicators and opinion leaders in the sector.

Jobava Winery’s participation has been supported throughout the preparation process by André and Karla Baader, wine and travel content creators, international wine hunters, educators, global enotourism experts, and the team behind the digital media platform Loco por Vino, whose collaboration has played an important role in bringing the winery to the 2026 event.

“Originally from Brazil and Guatemala and currently based in Georgia, we are wine and travel content creators, international wine hunters, educators, and global enotourism experts behind the digital media platform Loco por Vino.

As official ambassadors of the Vino Influencers Awards (Spain) in Georgia, we are thrilled to connect Georgia to the world’s largest wine-focused media and influencer event, bringing together some of the most influential voices in the global wine industry.

Jobava Winery has officially broken new ground by becoming the first Georgian wine ever confirmed for this landmark event. This is a game-changer that will reshape target markets across the Caucasus and raise the bar for Georgian winemaking on the world stage,” say André and Karla Baader.

Over the past three years, André and Karla Baader have collaborated on marketing initiatives, event coverage and educational programmes, with a particular focus on promoting Georgian wine in Brazil. Their recent work has included masterclasses at the Brazilian Sommelier Association (ABS), introducing Georgia at ProWine São Paulo and organising an educational trip that brought 12 Brazilian sommeliers to Georgia in 2025.

The main VinoInfluencers World Awards 2026 programme will take place in Valladolid, Spain.
